WINES FROM THE CAPITAL
Belgrade has always been known for its superb gastronomic offer, in which a significant place was given to wines. This divine drink was also served in those bohemian temples such as inns, taverns and taverns, but also in elegant restaurants and hotels.
In the 1930s. only 999 steps were needed to go from the old, dilapidated but iconic tavern “Kod Albanije” where the guests did not have a problem with the quality of the wine, all the way to the most luxurious hotel in the capital “Srpski kralj”, on whose menu you could find the most expensive and best quality wines of that era.

At the corner of Knez Mihailova and Kolarceva streets in Belgrade, 1860. . several bars were built, and in one of them the tavern “Kod Albanije” was opened.
HOTEL
“SERBIAN KING”
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Vračarska cooperative bought the “Serbian King” hotel from the Veljković family and invested a lot of money in it.
