NIŠ
Journey through timeNiš, the largest city in the south of Serbia, remembers the powerful Roman Emperor Constantine who was born there, but also the Grand Prefect Stefan Nemanja who hosted Emperor Friedrich Barbarossa at the gates of the Panteleimon Church. This city also remembers large cooperative cellars where millions of liters of wine are stored. Only Malča Wine Cellar survived the stormy times, and today, as part of its tourist offer, it offers a “journey through time” – from the Roman era to the modern era.
On this wine tour, you will also visit the archeological park of Medijana and the Sićevačka gorge, once the seat of a large wine cellar and winegrowing cooperative.
One-day and two-day wine tours are organized.
