THE NEW AGE

The history of Serbian winemaking, at the transition from 19. the 19th to the 20th century, was marked by phylloxera, renewal, modernization, large wine merchants, as well as the beginnings of wine tourism.

Jovan Tec from Gudurica near Vršac was one of the leaders of the wine story in eastern Banat. Lawyer from Niš, Svetozar Tutunović, was remembered as a pioneer of wine tourism in the south of Serbia. The Stojaković family from Trstenik gave birth to the first master of enology in the area. They also owned a hotel in the city center.

THE CELLAR OF JOVAN TEC

Gudurica, a small wine village is located near the town of Vršac, in the southeast of Banat.

NIŠ GORICA

Since ancient times, the hill of Gorica, located on the southern side of the Niš basin, has been known for its vineyards.

TRSTENIK

Radenko Stojaković was a well-known wine and brandy merchant, but also the owner of the “Jadran” hotel in the center of Trstenik.
